Is the FINRA Forum Fair to Investors
Well the FINRA is fair is getting more fair over the years in the early 90s there were a number of initiatives that were pursued to make it more fair in terms of transparency of the arbitrator selection process arbitrator diversity and and also arbitrator awards that they now maintain a database of awards of prior arbitrators. Ultimately what they did put in place was the arbitrator selection process so both sides have the opportunity to make selections and rankings of proposed arbitrators from proposed lists of arbitrators and so it’s getting more fair and and initiatives are being pursued presently to make the procedures more fair for investors.
